Bible Studies
Morning Classes | Wednesdays 9-11am| See you there!
Wednesday morning Bible studies resumed on January 8, 2025. We hope you can come and join us soon.
Classes are held from 9-11am. All classes meet in LC210/212 for opening prayer before dispersing to separate classrooms. Ladies can choose from two classes:
LifeLight Study: Ezra and Nehemiah - Kathie Stocker is leading a LifeLight Study on Ezra and Nehemiah in LC210/212. She is an engaging teacher, and you will truly enjoy time in the Word with her and her group. LifeLight's Ezra and Nehemiah study is from the Old Testament at a point in time when Israel is returning from Exile. The people will need to rebuild their lives of worship, prayer, and purity while rebuilding the wall and renewing their covenant by asking God to remember them.
One in a Million by Priscilla Shirer - This seven-session class is taking a look at two Israelites who crossed the Jordan and entered into the Promised Land. Through this study, we will find direction for our own spiritual lives and learn to "expect to see God move miraculous ways in our everyday lives". This class is led by Debbie Baacke and will meet in LC214/216. We are using the One in a Million Bible Study Book which you can purchase from most booksellers. Our local Mardel store had the book in stock recently, and you can also purchase the book online. Check out Christianbook.com, Amazon, and Lifeway. Please note, the Bible Study Book has a white cover with gold lettering. There is a separate book (light teal with white lettering) that you can also purchase, but it is not required for the Bible study.

Evening Classes | Wednesdays 6:30-8pm | Year-round
Dixie Russo leads an engaging Bible study via Zoom. Her Wednesday evening classes will resume in February of 2025, so keep watching for more details and Dixie's next study.
February Walk and Talk - Armand Bayou, February 1st at 9am
You are invited to join us for a Saturday morning of walking and spending time in fellowship and good conversation. We are going to tie on our sneakers and enjoy nature "Houston-style" at Armand Bayou. It is one of the largest urban preserves in the entire country and we are blessed to have it in our backyard! We will gather for prayers at 9am, pay for our tickets at the entrance center, and then spend about an hour-and-a-half together. Make sure to bring your water and dress for the weather! If it has been raining, the trails can get a little muddy.
There is a cost to get into Armand Bayou. Tickets are $7 for all ladies up to 59 years old and $5 for those who are 60 and above. If you have never been to Armand Bayou before, it is well worth the cost.
As always, keep walking with the Lord and allow His Word to be a lamp for your feet and a light for your path (Psalm 119:105). See you out on the trails!

Last year, we went to High Island and Brazos Bend State Park. Wow, God's creation was so different and so amazing in both places!
Plans are in the works for more day trips in 2025. Keep checking back for more details. Contact Lori Knutson for additional details and/or to be added to the WDA email distribution list.
Weekend Adventures
Women's Discipleship Adventure weekends are planned each year for camping, hiking, and time outdoors in God's creation! Weekend trips include amazing fellowship and a devotion. We are planning our next overnight trip for the spring of 2025. All women are invited. Physical exertion level for weekend activities is moderate to difficult unless otherwise stated in the registration.
